November Ipsy Bag

IMG_2853

I love receiving my Ipsy bag every month because when that pink bag comes in the mail it feels like Christmas. The theme for this month was Beauty Blast and the this bag for this month was a cute galaxy print.

I was really excited when I saw the hints for this bag on Instagram because there was so much good stuff, but pretty disappointed when I saw what was in my bag because I didn’t get anything that I really wanted. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my bag.

Items I received:

Crown Brush Deluxe Pointed Crease Brush: I love receiving makeup brushes in my bags. I’ve received crown brushes in the past and have liked them. This brush is very fluffy and soft. Its perfect for defining the crease.

Jelly Pong Pong Liquid Gossamer: I have mix feelings about this highlighter. To start with it I was sold on the packaging, but the scent throws me off. It smells like expired hot chocolate. When I tested the product on the back of my hand, it didn’t really stand out. When I put it on my cheekbones and then applied highlighter on top, the liquid highlighter helped bring out the powder. It’s a good product if layered with another highlighter.

Figs and Rouge Mattifying Emulsion & Pore Refiner: I really didn’t enjoy this product. It made my pores look smaller but when I applied my foundation it was a hot mess. The primer made my foundation come off and did not smoothing apply onto my face. I felt like my makeup didn’t last on my face as long as it usually did when I used other primers.

Smashbox Cosmetics Full Exposure: I love receiving high-end mascara samples because in the words of Kathleen Light “das esspensive.” This mascara gives my eyelashes lot of volume and it doesn’t smudge or clump. The mascara applies very smoothly.

Absolute New York Nano Liner: This product was my favorite one in my bag. I have been using it everyday since I got it. The small tip makes drawing on my upper lash line so easy and its easy to build. The liner didn’t budge or smudge at all. The eye linear survived Miami humidity and rain. The color of the eyeliner is very black and the color didn’t fade. This eyeliner is incredible, I love it so much!
